Charles Dickens - Introduction

Charles Dickens was born on the 7th of February, 1812, in Portsmouth, England. He was the second of eight children in his family. He was an avid reader, devouring Tobias Smollet and Henry Fielding books at an early age. His pen name was Boz. His novels have never gone out of print as they were very popular.
